Doing Business With The Government of Canada: Artists Speak

This panel will hear perspectives from Black entrepreneurs in the Arts industry and beyond and learn about how Federal procurement may be an overlooked option for Black entrepreneurs. With a representative from the Procurement Assistance Canada (PAC-OR), be prepared to learn about how you can participate in the 15 to 20 billion dollars of goods and services spent annually. This session will be an open discussion led by Maxine Shelton in partnership with Artcite, with Teajai Travis.

BBC Maxine Shelton, founder of Black Business Can, a non-profit launched federally last year to equip, support, educate, and advance Black businesses, has coordinated this event as a precursor to Federal procurement sessions starting March 2nd (through a Black Entrepreneurship Pilot Project) where the government will demystify and equip our Black entrepreneurs to engage in the bidding process.
