Now in its tenth year, In Your Pocket is a screening and commissioning program of works created by and for the LGBTQ communities using accessible video technologies like smartphones, iPads, and webcams. The project invites artists and audiences to rethink the value of these media forms within a broader context of queer film history, where many pioneering artists, unable to secure financing or high end equipment, turned to consumer grade media like Super 8 film and VHS video to share their stories.

This event is part of our annual Summer Simmer arts festival:

Join us at Artcite Inc. for a week of summer arts festivities! Kicking off with a pop-up night market and concluding with a potluck and poetry party, this is community-building at its finest.
