Mixed media site installation. through suggesting straight narrative reading, Alan Dunning’s complex installation works present a concern with the breakdown of communication and issues of representation in contemporary life. the artist works to present a margin of intentional ambiguity both in his use of juxtaposed found and original images, text, and objects, and by the physical process of description, production, and reproduction obscure the meaning and context of the original source material.
