  • Artcite Inc 109 University Avenue West Windsor, ON, N9A 5P4 Canada (map)

Interested in submitting an application of interest for the CLAAP program? Not sure where to begin? We've got a workshop for that!

Join us in the gallery on July 22, 10am–12pm, to learn how to build an arts-based application. This CLAAP pre-launch workshop will be your step-by-step guide to building a Curriculum Vitae and Cover Letter in the arts, including formatting dos and don'ts and other best practices.

The workshop will be hosted by artist, writer, curator, and cultural worker, Nadja Pelkey, and it will be followed by a Q&A about the CLAAP Program with Artcite's Executive Director, Teajai Travis.

Open to everyone and registration is free!

The Community Leadership for Aspiring Arts Professionals (CLAAP) program is an opportunity for Windsor-Essex youth (ages 15–24) who are aspiring arts professionals; this 1-year program will provide the tools, strategies, and mentorship to build a career within artist-run galleries and arts organizations.

During a one-year program, participants will establish a Youth Arts Council and develop collaborative workshops and arts events in the Windsor-Essex community. Alongside outreach initiatives, the CLAAP Program will focus on mentoring participants through key aspects of artist-run centres, including fundraising, budgeting, event planning, and much more.

Program launches August 2023!
