CLAAP Program
Artcite Inc. invites youth (ages 15–24) from the Windsor-Essex community to submit an application of interest for the Community Leadership for Aspiring Arts Professionals (CLAAP) program!
Deadline: August 16, 2023.
Successful applicants will be contacted by August 18.
About the Program:
The CLAAP program is an opportunity for Windsor-Essex youth who are aspiring arts professionals; this 1-year program will provide the tools, strategies, and mentorship to build a career within artist-run galleries and arts organizations.
Over the year-long program participants will establish a Youth Arts Council, and develop collaborative workshops and arts events in the Windsor-Essex community. Alongside outreach initiatives, the CLAAP program will focus on mentoring participants through key-aspects of artist run centres, including: fundraising, budgeting, event planning, and the like.
FAQ:
Ten (10) spots are available in the CLAAP program.
Artists, musicians, poets, writers, and performers are encouraged to apply, although no artistic experience is necessary.
Each participant of the CLAAP Program will receive an honorarium of $2,000.00 for their participation, after the completion of the program.
The program will be led by Artcite Inc. Board of Directors and Staff.
The program will be documented and compiled in a collaborative Zine.
